finally found the time to blog!

actually wanted to blog last sat after the trip to sentosa but i got lazy and managed to procrastinate till today lol...

hmm... what happened in the last couple of weeks?

well, the prelims closed in to just one week left and i am still managing to procrastinate enough to make me feel guilty at times to want to study hard but when i start, it just doesn't seem to flow well.

hopefully i won't need to resort to pressing the panic button to force myself to study...

met up with xe4 on sat to go to sentosa and after the usual lateness from the usual people, we got to sentosa at around 11 and lazed around, played cards, soccer as well as the usual nua-ing in the sea before going to vivocity's food republic for dinner. jy and i sponsored $100 for the dinner and surprisingly, it was enough to get a decent meal for our table of 10 despite the rather expensive food there.

food wasn't too bad, though it was more of tasting abit of everything and most of it was pretty cold by the time all the food came and everyone settled down.

gp prelims yesterday wasn't too bad, i did an interesting question that i have yet to hear of anyone else doing so far lol... Explain the significance of water. still, i guess gp is pretty ok.

then went back to xinmin today for teacher's day! went to ny for the celebration first but compared to last year, it was honestly horrible with a rather boring program that i doubt many people liked...

xinmin was not bad though. it wasn't the concert itself but the many people you get to catch up with! miss ng is still as nice as ever! though it's been a while since we had a really good talk with her...

according to others, our class had the most number of people that went back to xinmin despite being the smallest class back in our batch! haha... guess our class knows what is ying shui si yuan and the fact that miss ng was so nice to us helped.

had lunch with 4e4 before some of us went to yj's house for a gaming session! been a while since i had such a good laugh and time playing console games.

yj is a good host and so is his mom, supplying us with plenty of food!

then had dinner with an even smaller group but i laughed till i nearly had side splits.

i realised today that it's still the people from secondary school that i feel the most comfortable with and can totally be myself, laughing and behaving like an idiot without feeling the slightly bit embarrassed, even beyond the level of comfort that i feel with db people. i guess it is a different kind of closeness, db is more that of a brotherhood that allows you to really feel the team spirit and they still remained the only people whom i have cried for during the competitions but the e4 gang is of a different type, more like those close friends that you can tell almost everything to and still feel comfortable around them, since they have practically seen every side of you that there is to be seen.

to think back though, i think the level of closeness is built up by all the long, long conversations late into the night that last for like more then 5 hours at a time, which is something that mainly happened after the O levels ended and we had alot of time to talk, which isn't something that we could do alot with the jc group of people when everyone has such a busy schedule. maybe after the A's, the people i know now will become closer?

i can really believe that the e4 ppl, at least the core group of us will still keep in contact for many years to come...

some say that the friends you make in secondary school are the friends that you will keep for life while others say it is those that you make in jc and there are yet others that say it is those from army.

so which one is it? for now, i am tempted to believe that the secondary one will last for quite a while.

i guess it's really up to time to tell though!

    sigh... same old same old...

i never seem to ever enjoy my birthdays from what i can remember.

it's usually one of the worst few days of the year for me as far as i am concerned.

i would prefer so much more to celebrate anyone's else birthday other then mine since seeing others happy is a much easier way to be happy then trying to make myself happy.

a random scolding session scolding by my mom right at midnight spoiled my mood for the entire day so i was in a pretty bad mood the whole day.

well, there's that and there's something else too which isn't too convenient to say.

sigh...just wishing for the same thing every year which doesn't come true is starting to get...

just wishing for that someone to be among the first few to wish you a happy birthday isn't too much to ask right?

haiz...why can't i just do as my brain is telling me is the right thing to do but think of other stupid stuff instead?

anyway, thanks to everyone who wished me and thanks for the shirt and the files!

been quite a long while since i last blogged but that's mainly cos there isn't that much going on.

i mean, what can you blog about when the only thing that you have been doing apart from studying is the occasional breaks?

ok, make that slightly more then occasional.

ah well, i gotta work harder i guess.

just 3 more weeks to the prelims and then a few more again to the A's!

god, i can't wait for it to be over.

apart from life being a little mundane and boring, it's been pretty good though. no big rush to complete this or that work very often now and things have sorta slowed down.

i am trying to recall anything interesting that happened over the past few weeks but few stuff comes to mind apart from wy's birthday and the master's series today.

good to see the j1's are doing a pretty good job so far!

i just missed rowing really badly when i see them row though...

    hao huai nian ar...

though i think the weeks of little to no exercise has made me into a lazy bum that don't even like moving around too much. hopefully my body holds on and don't fall sick or anything till after the A's.

army prep time then! still considering if i should join safsa though...

for now though, it's just study and more study.

shall update again if any interesting stuff happens!

    Wohoo! Sentosa trip on sat!

i think it will be the last sentosa outing for quite a while though

it was our farewell party organised by the j1s and as usual, the seniors were all like super late.

whatever happened to the virtue of punctuality!

i reached at like 12.10 and we left harbourfront at close to 2?

anyway, it was a pretty great day out at sentosa overall with loads of games and fun

pity we reached way too late to tan properly though.

the rugby match was fun! though i think everyone ended up with little cuts all over.

mass random tossing people into the sea was fun too!

ahh... gonna miss being able to relax properly soon...

And so begins the life of a mugger.

yep, that pretty much sums up most of what i have been doing for the past couple of weeks.

my first meet the parents session passed by without anything happening since she didn't have much to say to my mom and i was free to go within 5 minutes.

still, comparing the way everyone is mugging, i am still quite a way behind. can't really get into it yet.

the way some of them are studying seems to be definite burn-out cases though...

on the other hand, i am way too slack.

shall pick up into a nice pace then!
