    wohoo~

finished the final harry potter book!

would have finished the book like 5 hrs ago if i didn't go for the sa dance concert...

i am not complaining though, the concert was good, though the location was stupid, being in mediacorp, not exactly the most accessible place without a car.

still, it was my first time inside there and it was pretty cool though i am a little confounded by the design of the place and it was much smaller then i expected it to be though.

reading the final book, i seriously felt my pace slow down towards the end as i really didn't want it to end. it seems way too short compared to the last few books but somehow, it felt right.

not gonna post any spoilers about it since i don't like spoilers myself.

time to read the book if you have not!

hmm... i just realised that the previous post was the 500th post!

i don't think that i have expected to continue blogging for as long as i did and i guess alot have changed over time.

for a start, the way i blog have changed quite abit and i guess the purpose did as well.

when i first started blogging, i was kinda an insecure attention seeking kid that wanted people to reach my blog and would ask people to tag, getting irritated if there is no tags for days on end.

but as the years passed, the reason i still blog is more of a preservation of my own memories so that when i grow old and senile, i can still look back and see what kind of a person i am and what i went through.

of course, the old and senile part is an exaggeration, i effectively forget what i have done or say within a week of them happening, unless it was something significant so i can be reading my own entries just a year later and wonder, did i really do that?

that's provided that blogger still exist of course.

hmm... maybe someday i ought to save all my old entries into my com in the off chance that blogger close down.

another thing that have changed is that i don't get bothered if no one reads my blog or tag since the purpose for it has changed. frankly, i don't give two hoots if i just end up talking to myself itself of it being a blog.

ahh... how times have changed... and i feel older all of a sudden. -_-''...

hmm....so what happened over the past week?

oh yeah, we got back all the test papers and well, let's just say that my predictions were more or less right and just looking at it, it is supposed to be a wake-up call but i guess it is either not loud enough or that i have become partially deaf cos i still don't feel the urge to study.

by right, i should be feeling it cos it's like the worst result i have ever gotten but i guess the fact that i didn't study much for it ended up making me feel like i deserved whatever i got.

still, i really gotta start studying soon or i am one dead person who shall be left on the streets not knowing where to go when i get back my results next year.

and i can't afford to do badly for my prelims either, considering that they put you into different platoons for ns based on your prelims results?

    what else...oh yeah!

xinfony on friday! it was pretty good i think, though the fact that i hardly recognised anyone over there was kinda boring. went for a supper at the prata house before going home. man... all the weird pratas that they come up with. plaster prata? it didn't taste too bad though.

then it was shopping for kobe's present on sat. there's a ridiculous amount of people who have birthdays in july and august, myself included. i am like wondering where all the money is going to come from for all the presents, especially since i am being blackmailed by my old classmates who wants a treat if i am to get a present. + paying for the rest of the harry potter books + the concerts ticket prices + the revision stuff the school wants us to print. chem alone is $35!

    oh man... serious budget deficit!!!

i think i should start considering 4-D or toto.

anyone have been dreaming of any numbers lately?

oh man... i am seriously sunburned!

went to sentosa with the guys on sunday and just spent the day there...

our timing was kinda crazy though, reached there at like 9 so we were baking in the super hot sun all they way till 4+.

can't remember the last time i got sunburnt so bad that my lips are cracking and the skin on my forehead, nose and back are also definitely gonna peel in a few days...man... what a sight that will be -_-''...

anyway, the main project of the day was digging two holes that were about 1.5m deep that could fit one of us comfortably inside and get this, we actually managed to link the two hole that were about 2m apart, forming a tunnel on the beach!

    -_-''...

    we were damn bored.

and before we left, i got buried in the hole so that only my head was left on the ground like some bodiless corpse while i got tortured by them.

    zzz...

monday was a day where we dressed up formally for some grooming course. felt kinda stupid going to school in corporate attire when so few others is wearing though. the course itself was only marginally useful though, seeing that there were alot of stuff that i already knew. oh well, at least it wasn't too boring.

went bowling after that! last few days of $1 a game bowling so we played quite a few games. kinda lost my touch for it and didn't play too well...still, it was fun!

then today was another stupid talk and class photo taking. mahjong after that! was losing quite abit initially but managed to caught up near the end and win a little.

the fun is over though, proper school starts again tomorrow!

    wohoo! exams is over!

strangely enough, i wasn't all that excited about the end of it nor felt any sense of joy.

maybe it's because of the 5 days break i had that i sorta treated as post exam?

or maybe it was because i didn't really put much effort into it so it ending doesn't have much impact.

like they say, if you dun put in your best then winning it doesn't feel exciting at all.

    or something along that line.

oh well, i should enjoy myself for now and prepare for the wake-up call the results are gonna gimme.

i am kinda hoping that i will feel damn screwed up after i get back the results so that it will force me to study, at least for a little while, else i become complacent.

though judging from the tests, i should be getting what i hope for lol...

anyway, today was mainly spent wasting time enjoyablely with the db ppl. though i would have much preferred east coast or something else rather then basketball which i am sad to say that i am totally hopeless at.

oh well, at least we are going to sentosa on sun and there's mahjong tmr!

and some weird exibition that ben heng wanna show me at toa payoh lib on sat... totally no idea what it is supposed to be.

i just remembered something interesting that i read about in the newspaper a while back.

you know about the yellow livestrong wristband that alot of people wore a couple of years back?

well, this one is a purple one that some priest somewhere started and gave to lots of people.

it comes with an interesting twist though. for this one, you put one on one of your wrist and whenever you complain, gossip or criticize , you will change it to the other hand. the goal is to leave it on one hand for 21 days, which is the time needed to form a good habit.

the idea is to get people to stop complaining and think positively about everything.

which i think is a great idea!

i think we all complain way too much, myself included.

though i think i will take like a year to form that good habit... the priest himself took 7 months!

wouldn't the world be a much better place if everyone just complained a little less?

edit: i found it fascinating enough that i actually ordered the wristbands from their website. it's perfectly free so i ordered 30 to give to some of the ppl i know who might be interested. gonna take like 6 weeks to come though.

    good day today!

woke up earlier then i wanted to today to go and watch the j1's race at the db fest.

seeing everyone and all the different stuff, i still feel kinda sad that we missed out the chance to row for the db fest, which is like the main event for any db ppl?

    last year, our seniors went.

    this year, our juniors went.

    -_-''.... why skip us???

anyway, j1s, treasure the chance that you get to row for it and do us proud k?

went to meet vic after that for a sorta lunch+ chit chat session like always. nice catching up with her!

went to some street that was just outside bugis junction( not bugis street) that had like alot of little restaurant-shophouses and the food there looks pretty good and the decor was pretty nice too. beats paying a higher price for a more crowded place in bugis junction anyday if you ask me. loads of variety too! i saw thai, jap, korean, taiwan, western, shanghai, hong kong, chinese deserts and the more normal stuff like zi char there.

tried the western food at phin's which was pretty nice though i think i am still trying to get over the food ban and getting use to eating fried food again so i found i couldn't eat too much of them...

walked around for a while after that before going to meet the guys for movie!

    transformers! a must watch!

i initially didn't think too highly of it since the cartoon is like so old and i didn't have too good an impression of it but the movie blew me away!

it's like two and a half hours of solid action and going BOOM BOOM BOOM at you throughout! it's worth watching it another time just for the effects and the action alone! anyone interested in watching the movie? we sat pretty near the front at the third row but for once, it was good as we could really feel the effect! i think it's more of a guys show though...

still, go watch it ppl! it's worth the money!
