    29 September

note to self: reading hp:hbp when you are in a good mood is stupid.

lol... i reread the book and got sadded by the ending again. and just when i was in a good mood too.

anyway, yesterday was grad night! one of the hightlights of the holidays but it was kinda a waste...

picked up my specs yesterday afternoon. looks pretty good but i still felt kinda cheated. the lenses was supposed to be "ultrathin" but unless my eyes are deceiving me, they look exactly as thick as my old specs. oh well, can't do anything about that now.

was initially supposed to take a taxi to the hotel de but then was informed by rui hong the day before and louis at 5 that they were not taking the taxi.

    -_-''...

thus i had to rush like crazy to meet yj and gang at hougang mrt at 5.30. and i must say that it was a weird experience walking in the streets and taking the mrt in those clothes.

we were one of the first few there and got pretty bored after taking the photos so we went in to wait.

then came the problems with the tables.

initially, we were told our seat were d10 but going in we saw no d10 so we just sat at no.10 then some others came in and they told us they were supposed to sit at b10.

now that can't be right, can it?

this resulted in us going out again and checking the table number. now we were told that as long as we filled up one table we could sit and any table we like. we were ok with that and then proceeded to write the messages for some of the people. more people started coming and just after the mc told us to get to our sit for the dinner was about to start, we were told we were in the wrong sit and had to change sit. now we were sitting with some of the girls from e5.

    ...

i dunno how they arranged this but the e4's were at table 10 and table 4? which happenes to be in totally opposite sides of the room and kinda defeating the purpose of the grad night which is to enjoy one last night together. i totally don't see why all the classes can have their tables close to each other except for our class. about 60% of my mood for grad night was killed at this point.

then i took a look at the menu.

i was immediatly visited by the thought that whoever set the menu had something against me. guess what was on the menu. seafood, seafood and more seafood! and to top it all off, the desert was MANGO pudding!

    urgh.

they seemed to know exactly what i hated and served everything. but due to the presence of others, i forced everything down and tried everything. it was the first time i tried eating prawns that were larger then a shrimp.

and i am so not gonna try it again anytime soon. it just doesn't suit my taste buds.

the rest was pretty ok though. at least i didn't feel naseous or anything after eating them. thankfully the mango pudding didn't have much of a mango taste to it. however, due to the nature of the food, i just sampled everything and by the end of the dinner, i was still feeling pretty hungry. good thing i had learned to never expect to be full at this kinda dinner so i didn't mind the food part much. after all, there were more important things about the grad night. lets just say that by the time we went off, i was in one of the best moods i have been in for a while =)

let's move on to the activities of the grad night shall we?

first of course was the happenings at the table. it wasn't much fun sharing a table with people you hardly know. thankfully though, especially for jy, someone wasn't there or else it would have been a total torture. it was rather awarkard, with the guys from our class being gentleman and asking the girls to eat first and then them asking ask to eat first. -_-''.... shouldn't have this problem if we were eating with our own classes...not much fun either as there wasn't much to talk about with strangers around. i curse the table arrangement. we weren't the worse off though. marchand had to sit alone with a table full of 5n girls and he wasn't allowed to change seats even after his request. his dinner must have been super awarkard. mind you, if it were me, i think i would just walk out and go home or something.

there were a few remotely interesting games held and some lucky draws. i must compliment the emcee here though. he managed to make the not-so-interesting games a little more interesting. heard that last year's emcee was crap so i guess we should count ourselves lucky. oh yeah, the lucky draw was kinda weird but since when was it ever proportionate so i wasn't too bothered by it.

then there was the dance. god, i am still wondering now how my eardrums survived it. you had to shout to be heard even if you are talking in each other's ears. pity i can't dance to save my life but i still enjoyed it. oh yeah, there was just this highly embarassing part though. i got taunted by kobe to go up to the stage to dance. and there i was on the stage like an idiot. got off in a hurry. urgh... wth does leo ppl get ji-jiang-fa-ed so easily de.

i think me, kobe and hq was among the last to leave. walked around for a bit before deciding to go play pool at hougang plaza. got a little shock there though. it was past midnight and the lan shop room was full? o.O... the billard and pool area were pretty full too. and it's not like it's the weekend either. wah... all these ppl so free...

so all in all, the grad night could have been loads better but it could have been much worse too. at least i enjoyed myself and was happy by the end of the night. i am glad that i didn't miss this once in a life time thingy. for one, i wouldn't have seen how different everyone looked. almost couldn't recognise some of the people. some people looked stunning while there were also some who looked... weird.pity i didn't get to see everyone though. there wasn't much time to look around but from what i see, most people put a lot of effort into the grad night so here's a thanks to everyone who made the grad night fun and great!

    26 November

went to east coast park today for a gathering with the lib seniors.

quite ok la... though i didn't spend nearly as much time talking to them then i did rollerblade. oh man... i really haven't rollerblade for a long time. by the time i rollerbladed for 2 hrs, my legs were half dead. and to top it all off, it was raining.

didn't stay too long at the beach though. went to jason's house to play mahjong after that. another thing that i haven done for a long time!!! hand itchy liao le. anyone else wanna play mahjong? we didn't play money so it was quite relax and fun.the very last game was made such that no one can game unless they have a min of 5 folds. damn it was gaowei. wanna game cannot game cos dun have 5 folds. had to play 3 rounds before anyone could game 5 folds. and guess who was the one. han kee! finds a place to hide in cos i have just lost to han kee in mahjong.

oh yeah, has anyone seen jason's dogs before? he says those are medium size and there are still large and giant size??? if you have seen them before, you will understand why i was a little apphensive about that. ahh... what wouldn't i give for a siberian husky...

    24 November

hmm... the holiday's are kinda what i expected it to be.

    boring.

here i am getting bored out of my mind while others are having the time of their lives.

    weird isn't it?

anyway, spent the last few days just playing games and reading from dawn till dusk. if i don't get a job soon, i am gonna go crazy from the boredom.

why didn't i feel this way the last few holidays? i guess maybe it was because there was work to be done and humans by nature don't like doing what they are told to so i had fun playing games instead of doing work. now that i got no homework to do, i am finding games boring and are looking for work instead.

    the irony of life.

oh yeah. went to make specs today. i finally decided on making a frameless specs instead of contacts due to most people i asked saying that contacts don't suit me. and damn frameless specs are ex. ok, the frame itself is still ok but the lenses are freaking ex. $110 for the lenses alone and $88 for the frame. crazy... looks quite nice though and since my degree isn't increasing anymore so it should last. though the man at the shop seems to have different ideas from the way he keeps saying how easy they break to my mom.

another weird thing when i was checking my eyes today. the degree of my left and right eye are seriously different. left eye is 425 degrees and right is 550? no idea how that difference came about... it's not like i only use one eye to look at stuff from the way he says that i use one eye more. maybe cos i always sit slanted ba... that means if my eyesight improve at the same rate, my left eye would reach perfect eyesight when my right eye needs lenses of 125 degrees? what am i supposed to do then, wear an eye patch? though it is doubtful that i will ever encounter that problem since it's not very possible for my eyesight to improve so much without any external help....

had a haircut too. i offically give up on having any hopes of changing my hairstyle. told the hairdresser i wanted something different but after the haircut it looks the same as every other haircut. guess i just have to resign to fate? or in this case my genes ba.

oh well...time to accept myself for who i am. gotta do that before others can accept me i guess.

    20 November

Wohoo! the o's are over! lol... this seems abit late but i was too busy(lazy) to blog for the past few days...

so let's recount the last few days, starting from thursday

    thursday
heaven's fair after all. i didn't study amaths so they made a p2 that i crashed at. so chop stamp no A le. nvm... not using it

    friday!
last day of the o's! hist was relatively ok... chem was fine too. so hopefully my 8 will be possible...
during the chem paper, i finished early and after checking a couple of times, got inpatient for the o's to end and kept staring at the clock. oh man, when they finally collected the paper and tell us we could go, it was so shuang!!! though some of the reactions of the other classes were abit kuazhang...

rushed to j8 after that for harry potter! couldn't squeeze onto the bus so a few of us took a cab and just managed to get there in time for the movie. well... the movie was pretty nice... some parts got cut out,eg: the world cup!!! oh man... i was looking forward to that... some inconsistancy with the book but overall still quite ok. it was funny and nice for the most part though i kinda dislike the lord voldemort... he is supposed to be scary but he looks abit stupid...still, it was a great movie!!! though i still wanna watch somemore...

reach home at 10+ and proceeded to do what i haven done for a long time. chiong game!!! chionged till 4 and woke up at 10+ the next morning and continued chionging till 4 pm? then i suddenly realised that i haven ate for 30 hours, from 10am the day before. oh man... and for some crazy reason, i wasn't that hungry. think my stomach must have some weird stuff inside... i can be hungry minutes after i have eaten or not be hungry for 30 hours...

went to wcg today and it was quite fun... the skills of the players there were on a whole different level all together from normal players like us. it was crazy! though the training must be kinda boring...oh yeah. samsung pratically took all the attention from the other stands though. not gonna comment further on it. let's just say it's something that it's something that wy likes :X

anyone got jobs de lobang? cos i need one... i think i will go crazy if i have nothing to do for the holidays... already starting to get a little boring le...so got stuff to do can jio me. doubt anyone will though.

    16 November

wow! there is like just 2 days to the end of the exams!

which i don't want to end.

nvm... i think i shall find someway to entertain myself after the O's... can they like faster call me and tell me that i have a job? now dunno have a job or not very gaowei. dunno should go and find another one or wait for their phone call. oh well... i guess if by mon still dun have then i gotta go find again liao.

today's physics. reasonably ok ba... p1 was easier then the mock but p2 was harder. got some mistakes here and there but nothing too major. should still make it? if not i can forget abt my 8 liao.

oh yeah. geo mcq too. no big problems there. feel abit bohua though. physical geo 1 whole book like 13 qns and human geo 2 chaps 15 qn? nvm... human geo is more common sense anyway.

    15 November

    Siasuayed myself today.

i knew i forgotten something on my way to school today and when i stepped into the canteen, i realised what i forgotten.

the amaths paper starts at 2.

and i was in school at 7.

grr... gong till dunno how to gong.

nothing for me to do so i went back home to sleep till 11 before waking up.

had an ominous feeling when i stepped into the exam hall as nothing has been going my way for the past 2 days.

thank god the feeling was wrong.

this was the first amaths paper that i could do! ever!

ok, so i am not gonna score crazily high marks but it is gonna be one hell of an improvement compared to mid year or the prelims.

i even got a feeling that an A is possible!

but then thinking about it, if i got an A, it would be highly unfair to those who worked so hard for it when i gave it up and didn't study for it.

damn, if i knew amaths was so easy i would have studied for it as my main 6 instead of throwing it away.

so in conclusion, i doubt i will get an A but one can always hope right? hopefully it won't be a case where everyone thinks i don't deserve it if by any chance i do get it.

    14 November

wow... how long has it been since i blogged?

i think i overburned too early and that resulted in me slacking off during the exams itself lol... shouldn't have studied so much before the exams...played games for the past few days :X

anyway, to blog about last friday, it was emaths paper 2, my first crash

urgh...most of them were extremely stupid mistakes... like got one where you count the numbers inside the box. there were six 2 but i only counted 5, resulting in most of the parts of the questions below it becoming wrong. argh. eyes got stamp

then another one where you try the ways to pay for the car parking de. missed out something then also all wrong liao. bth...10+ marks gone le

    wasted the paper 1 sia...

    tomorrow's amaths!

i think heaven is against me studying amaths cos i just realised i lost my amaths tys this afternoon when i was attempting to look for it then gotta go borrow from someone and only started studying at like...5? first time touching amaths for ages. infact, i can honestly say that the only preparation i done for amaths was to do the nov 2004 p1 just now. if i can get an A, it will be the biggest miracle ever.

nvm... not planning to use it anyway. just hoping that my main 6 don't deter from my expectation. if not i am so gone...

i just realised that i am not using two subjects which most people are using. chinese and amaths. free a1 for most people but it is my worse two subjects. am i weird or am i a weirdo?

    ink10 November

Almost half of the O's is gone! how time flies when you don't want it to...

english yesterday was ok... doubt i will get a1 but it won't be too bad... wasn't extremely easy or anything... oh well, should still hopefully fall within range...

geo today was... urgh. doable but i think it was the toughest geo paper i sat for so far. loads of weirdo questions with so many marks for qns that i got nothing to write about and so few marks for qns that i got tons to write about. still, there's always paper 1. should still be able to dig out a a1 ba...

guess nothing has gone majorly wrong so far. hopefully i will still be saying it next friday

    7 November

ok, blogging about the exams might not be the wisest thing to do, seeing that not many people are happy about it but for the sake of letting me remember this period of time, put up with me ok?

it's the first freaking time i even dare to think i can get a1 for emaths!!! in my memories, i can only remember this time where there are almost no questions that stumped me and talking about it after the paper didn't change the colour of my face. hopefully next year when get back result also face dun change colour. see me going pale help me call doctor, thank you

ss was really lucky. i only studied two chapters( health & edu and venice) and venice came out! breathed a sigh of relieve after i saw the qns. alot of people wasn't so lucky though, since apart from venice, the other two qns was those totally-unexpected-no-one-guessed type de. not that it was much help. i spent the first 15 minutes stoning and i didn't even realise it, resulting in me taking 55 minutes to finish the source base and only 35 minutes for structured, of which only 15 minutes was given to part b. oh well, couldn't answer it very well even if i had the time seeing that it was a weirdo qn that i have nvr seen before and don't have the faintest idea how to answer so i guess it's no big lost

overall not too shabby a start to the O's... with any luck, it will continue to be like this and all will be great

i just need you for 7 more days of exams lady luck, don't leave me now!

    5 November

hmm... dunno why but i am dreading the end of the O's a little? got a feeling that the end of it won't be too much fun...for me at least because there isn't exactly loads for me to look forward to.

no place to go, nothing to do, no one to go out with.

    one word: sian

bleah... just realised that i am one of those weirdos who like school more then the holidays...

yi yi bu she de gan jua...

if nothing goes majorly wrong the O's should go ok? gonna attempt to not come online for the next to week in a bid to rid myself of distractions.

then again, who am i kidding? me? not coming online? that's about as hard as making the sun rise from the west.

oh well, just gonna try my best not to then.

    3 November

Wohoo! I have finally more or less completed studying for the O lvl!

well... to a reasonable extent anyway, if you count reading through the stuff you are going to once as completing your studying :X

ok, to be honest, i have only done the bare minimum. 3 chaps each for hist and ss

ss-industrialisation, health & education and venice. banking extremely heavily on health and education so if it doesn't come out, you can expect to see me moping around on monday

history-pacfic war, mao and ww2. would prefer if pacific war came out on it's on though. i supposed ww2 wouldn't be that bad... just not mao...

chem-about done? should hopefully be ok this time round.

physics-also about done. hopefully will finally be able to score for it this time round. gonna check till i die for this one >.<... emaths-haven done anything for it. maybe i will do a couple of paper tmr... amaths- haven done anything for it. not intending to. not gonna waste time on something i am not gonna be using for my L1R5... English- er...nothing's done but nothing much can be done anyway. i suppose i will just go and memorise the formats the day before the exams. which will take all of half an hour? chinese- b3 now that i typed it all out, i suppose i am not that prepared...

oh well, hopefully lady luck will be with me this time round... it hasn't been with me for the mid year and prelim so i guess it's about time for it to come?

m'lady, please accompany me for the full journey this time!!!

edit: oh man... i just realised that i will be seeing our class for the last time tmr! enjoyed myself so much in the class this two weeks...haiz...all good things must come to an end i guess. pity nothing definative came out of it.
