sat was fun!

rushed down to marina south for steamboat after training cos i was late le and played arcade there for a while.

pretty fun, though the only arcade game i am any good at is those shooting de nia.

soon, we went to have the steamboat le. i think i have been having steamboat at that particular stall for the last few times i went for steamboat le. well, the surrounding is among the better one cos it's open air and more suitable for steamboat i guess?

steamboat is more like a chatting session then actually eating cos well... let's say non of us are superb cooks? and chatting with my old ct is fun!

oh yeah, i forgot to mention why we were there in the first place. it's a farewell for alex who is going to US on a scholarship to study.

cool sia! imagine going abroad to study and being in a totally new enviroment! everyday would be a totally new experience and you can learn something new everyday instead of doing the same thing over and over again everyday here.

though i guess a new experience can be both good and bad, i am guessing that alex will have a pretty good time there.

however, he's also giving up alot la, like his family and friends as well as his gf. i think i would have some problem giving up everything and going elsewhere alone cos it's like ren sheng di bu shou and you go there le encounter any problems also dunno who to find for help like abit cham too.

still, i wish him all the best!

anyway, back to the steamboat.

for some reason, i ended up being the soup refiller and kept going to the place where they put all the kettles of soup and more then once( actually alot of times), i ended up being stopped by ppl who thought i was a worker there and asked me to add soup for them.

hello... all the workers there are wearing yellow and i am wearing white???

right when we have finished eating and were about to leave, the fireworks started!

it's like everyone left their tables and went to watch the fireworks lor. and there were alot of sound effects apart from the booming of the explosions of the fireworks, all the ooooing and the ahhhing so there was a pretty nice atmosphere although there was a stupid tree in the way.

fireworks are beautiful though when you think about the hundreds of thousands that just went boom, you might wonder if it's a good use of the money or not.

oh well, as long as the government is making so much money and our economy is doing well, i guess it's ok.

how the heck the maintain this kinda growth anyway. it's like there have been growth of more then 5% for dunno how many years liao.

not that i am really concerned about it though.

i think i quite enjoy steamboat, though i always end up with a feeling that my hand is cooked from all the hot spurts of oil. and if it's steamboat with ex-0607, i love it!

what i wouldn't give to have the group of the more outgoing 0607 ppl to be in the same class again sia...

why is it always when something is gone do you start to treasure it?
