hmm... i must be really bored. decided to clear up my stuff a little. by clearing, i mean moving those stuff that are obstructing movement and are an eyesore to some place where they are less of an eyesore. usually they just go into a cupboard somewhere, never to see the light of day again.

anyway, i found this book that hankee gave to me as a birthday present as a couple of years ago. not sure why it's there though, cos i usually keep all the presents i ever received in a drawer. yep, everything i ever received can fit into a small drawer lol. couldn't find anything better to do so i picked up the book and read abit of it. it was some self improvement book so i didn't read it when i got it cos i thought it was bullcrap but turns out it's pretty interesting.

decided to type out some of the stuff i found are more useful in a bid to remember them and (hopefully) actually be able to follow them.

maybe it will make me become a better person!

there's quite abit so i thought i will type out a few aday, sorta as a footnote at the end of my posts.

Ask any successful person and most will tell you that they had a person who believed in them, be it a teacher, a friend, a parent, a sister, a grandmother. It doesn't really matter who it is but just by spending time with this person, you will be able to break free of your negative self perception which can put limitation on you, just as a positive perception can bring out the best in us. For example, my mother (the author's, not mine) was such a person. She was always saying stuff like " Sean, of course you should run for class president" and " Ask her out! I'm sure she would just die to go out with you. " Whenever I needed to be affirmed I'd talk to my mom and she'd clean my glasses.

Don't be afraid to lean on and get nourished by this person who believes in you. Go to him or her for advice. Try to see yourself the way he or she sees you.

Independence is more attractive then dependence. Believe me, you'll be a better boyfriend or girlfriend if you are not centered on your partner. Besides, centering your life on another doesn't show that you love them, only that you're dependent on them.

The Golden Rule! Begin today to treat others as you want them to treat you. Don't be impatient, late, complain about leftovers, or bad-mouth someone, unless you want the same treatment. We always hear about this but just spend a moment to think about it and you will realise how true it is.
