crap... now i am having an extremely running nose.
must be the result of spending the last two days in an air-conditioned room.
anyway, i spent the last two days in school having the facilitator workshop.
didn't like the first day much... it was mainly to let you realise what your goal is and why do you want to achieve it and so i heard "why" so many times that i was starting to get a little annoyed. all i remember us doing was those weird weird handshake and going to other people to talk. oh yeah, we were also asked to challange ourselves alot and to take risk...
today was much better though. if i am not wrong, we did 3 things.
the first one was this game where your "goal" is behind these two "obstacles" (played by two person) and you have to push your way through them to get to your goal.
second one was the free fall thingy where you are standing on a table blind folded and you are supposed to fall off and the others will catch you.
third one was a game where strings are tied to four tables in such a way that a spiderweb is formed. then everyone have to be carried over the strings and to the other side. problem is, if any part of you touches the string, you have to first go out of the room and then start all over again, even if you have just one person left to be carried over. and they were strict about the touching strings thingy. a little brush with the string and you are out of the room. and we went out so many times! played the game for like close to two hours? the surprising thing was that no one got fustrated and everyone was very encouraging all the way. i was the first one into the hole so i kept getting thrown into the hole and supporting people over. still, being very involved in this game made it very fun. it really lets you know what is teamwork and preserverance. and presevere we did! finally managed to get 9 people over the strings before time was up. when the first person got over, there really was a very strong sense of achievement man.
at the end, everyone got quite high and were cheering quite madly. love it when everyone is having fun together.
gah... my nose is feeling really crappy now. i am just praying that it will be gone when i wake up tomorrow or else i think i will lose my voice, as is usually the case when i go to sleep with a flu. and a sore throat is not a thing i want to have when i finally get to enjoy the fun part of being an ogl.
