12 Feburary

just got back from the chalet. kinda mixed feeling about it actually. shall comment about it further when i reach there. long post ahead!

friday first.

results day! i didn't have to go school so i woke up at 10 liddat then watched da chang jing before going to school to collect my results. i was still pretty calm about it and didn't have much feeling about it. then when i reached school le someone told me that half my class got single digit and first thing i thought was "oh crap..." since my class only got 30 ppl and my class position for prelims was 17 and that was not including the 6 or so who was in special stream.

started to panic alittle le but then when we went up to the hall miss ng saw me and said i did very well and i felt relieved again.

after we sat down, jy was behind me and miss ng came around again and told jy he improved alot. then i asked her i improved more or jy improved more since we got the same for prelims then she said jy. started to freak out then as our class only 1 6 pointer then we two were unlikely to get 7 points either so my results can't be good.

LAN came in soon and announced that we did very well and showed us all the statistics. the most shocking thing was that we got 60% distinction for english because we only got like 30 odd % last year. they finally started to give back the results at close to 3.

when it was finally my turn to collect the results, miss ng told me i got 9. got the most neutral feeling mark again. i told myself that i would go crazy if i got 6 or 7, very very happy if i got 8, neutral if i got 9 and damn sad if i got anything more then a single digit. exactly the same way i felt when i got back the results for the chi o's. b3 is the most sian result to get cos i would have no feeling for it.

however, when i took a closer look at my results slip, i was a bit gong diao cos the way i got 9 wasn't what i expected at all. i expected that my 9 points break up would be:

English-B3
SS/Hist- A2
Geo-A1
Emaths- A1
Chem-A1
Physics-A1

but instead I got:
English A1
SS/Hist A1
Geo A1
Emaths A2
Chem A2
Physics A2

got a what the hell feeling. the subjects that i didn't study much for(ss/hist) and in the case of english didn't study at all, got A1 while stuff like chem and physics that i devoted like 90% of my studying time to got A2. like that means that got study or never study also not much difference lor...would have totally prefered to get the first option...

oh yeah, i got a b3 for amaths. didn't really care about that since i gave up on amaths since the start of sec 4 and didn't study for it anyway.

then i found out that miss ng miscounted and me and jy got the same score. what an emotional rollercoaster of a day...

went to have a little chat with some of my friends after getting the results before rushing home to get my stuff and go for the chalet.

as expected, the ppl who i was meeting to go buy the stuff for the bbq with was late so i waited for about 45 minutes? oh well, too used to it. brought the stuff for the bbq and went to the chalet. at this point in time, there were only 4 ppl there. soon, somemore came and there were 8 ppl( 4 guys 4 girls) in the chalet for the first night. loved the first night. we played alot of those observing games and since i already knew most of them, i had alot of fun while the others were totally blured. changed to card games after that then to chatting since some of the ppl were knocking out. and so we started chatting with 8 ppl but by 6am, there were only 4 ppl left chatting. really enjoyed the chats. there were so many moments when we were all laughing like crazy and also times when we were totally quiet when someone was recalling something sad...got to know everyone alot better after the chat.

in the morning, we went to eat toasts. i still think that there is something wrong with my stomach cos i wasn't even full after have 5 toasts which was 10 pieces of bread? problematic stomach that wont let me grow no matter how much i eat...

walked to white sands after that. was supposed to go to the arcade there but it has closed down so we walked around the mall a little before going abck to the chalet.

went to the x-square and played x box awhile before going to play pool. went we when back to the chalet, there were more ppl there le but not many more, only a total of 11 of us, much lesser then those that agreed to go when we were booking the chalet...

had our bbq then but it was kinda pathetic cos there were very little food and there were no chicken wings as we decided that it was too troublesome. still, it was quite a ok bbq.

problems started when it was around the time to go home. turns out that only me and another guy was staying for the second night and everyone else were going home.

wasn't exactly happy about that but i guess that everyone really cannot help it since there were other commitment and problems. we decided to rent some games to play in the chalet to pass the time but we didn't play much as i knocked out at 2+ and slept till morning before checking out.

quite enjoyed the chalet but would have loved it if more ppl stayed for the second night...

oh well, now to decide if i should go to nyjc or nyp!
