25 October

wth. today was a totally stupid day.

first of all, i decided to ke kiang and took a different bus from what i usually take.

i usually take 74 or 147 to school but i went to the sbs website a few days back and saw that 112 also go to our school. fine. i thought i was stupid for not realising that 112 goes to our school so when i saw 112 today, i decided to take it.

112 goes one big round before it goes to the school.

after it goes the wrong way i started panicking then got off after a couple of stops. attempted to walk back to the normal bus stop but realised i won't make it in time then i decided to take a taxi. decided to take the first one i saw.

the taxi driver didn't know the way to the school and went one big round, costing $4 to go to school. which is alot more then what it normally takes. fine. i resigned to fate

then i went for the prat. due to me not being used to the small space with all the baskets, i kept knocking things over and spilling stuff. didn't know what acid it was too but no problem, i didn't know either during prelims and i did the same thing. used the bench chemicals to test and found out it was hcl. thank god for that. because the rest was shit.

my titration result was 24.7.

24.7!!!!

argh!!! that's a big fat 0!!! mrs teo answer was 25.2 so i was 0.5 off and thus that = 0. oh man. i think there was something wrong with the chemicals of the last few ppl lor... all got 24. something. and the wrong thing was that for the first time, i did 5 titrations. 5!!! i normally do 3 and always got correct without bothering being too accurate and just anyhow do. today i made sure everything was exactly right and i did 5 times, all within the range of 24.6 and 24.7. wth is this crap.

then i didn't realise that the solution s was suppose to dissolve. it didn't dissolve for me even though i already added very little. guess it wasn't little enough cos the stupid zinc was supposed to dissolve.

planning didn't go too well either. i used excess Al metal and added it to the acid and measured the vol. of gas evolved. in theory it should work but then everyone else used carbonate so i guess i shouldn't habour too much hopes on my prat.

damn. i am so gonna make up for my dumb prat with my paper 1 and 2. that A1 is soooo gonna be mine.

i will do it.
